Building Communities

05 Prill 2023

What a great energy get-together we had recently! First results of the project supporting the socio-economic reintegration of repatriated and refugee women in Kosovo are pouring in, and we could not be prouder of the community we are building. Women business owners from various sectors have joined the efforts to provide a safe and supportive environment for repatriated and refugee women, where they can acquire new skills for the labor market and find employment. During their visit in Kosovo in March, representatives of the @Deaconess Foundation Finland met with this amazing group and heard their stories of empowerment, support, and hope. We thank the representatives of the Kosovo Ministry of Internal Affairs for their continued backing.

At this meeting, we saw firsthand the importance of leaving no one behind and helping women reintegrate into society through sustainable action. It was great to see how these women were able to empower each other and create a sense of community that will undoubtedly benefit everyone involved.

JRS Kosovo is proud to be part of such a powerful project. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for our beneficiaries as they continue to develop their skills and join the world of work.

The project “Supporting the Socio-Economic Reintegration and Ensuring Equal Rights for Repatriated and Refugee Women in Kosovo” is supported by @Deaconess Foundation Finland and implemented by the KRCT – Kosova Rehabilitation Centre for Torture Victims and JRS Kosovo in collaboration with the Kosovo Ministry of Internal Affairs.
